The Stage6 Racing MKII 70cc Cylinder Kit is the successor to the popular Stage6 70cc racing cylinder, completely redesigned for enhanced out-of-the-box performance. Designed for 50cc scooters with Piaggio AC engines, such as Piaggio Typhoon, TPH, or Gilera Stalker.
Cylinder Design & Features
- High-strength hard chrome bore plating for durability
- 6 transfer ports (instead of 5) for improved cylinder filling
- Domed piston with 0.8 mm piston ring for optimized performance and heat dissipation
- Generous bridged exhaust port flushing, pentagonal design, and internal cooling ribs
- One-piece cylinder head with cast scavenging canals
- Port timings: 190°–130°
Performance
- Produces 17–19 hp out of the box, 2–3 hp more than the MK1
- Enough material for further tuning, potentially exceeding 20 hp
- Recommended setup: reinforced crankshaft, min. 21mm carburetor, racing exhaust
Installation Tips
- Clean engine thoroughly and check all components
- Use new spark plug and small end bearing
- Adjust carburetor settings as needed
- Squish clearance: 0.75–0.85 mm
- Run-in: approx. 300 km with 1:33 mixture for durability
- Note: Original exhausts cannot be mounted
- Without homologation in some countries
