Stage6 Cylinder Kit 70cc Racing MK2 – Piaggio LC (NRG, Runner, etc.)

The Stage6 Racing MKII 70cc is the successor to the highly successful Stage6 Racing cylinder. Fully redesigned, it delivers even stronger performance straight out of the box.

Compatibility

For 50cc scooters with Piaggio LC engines such as the Piaggio NRG and Gilera Runner.

Cylinder Design – Stage6 Racing MK2

The MK2 cylinder has been completely re-engineered with a durable hard chrome bore coating. A revised transfer port layout now features 6 ports instead of 5, improving cylinder filling. The piston design has been updated from flat to domed, with a 0.8 mm piston ring for optimized performance and better heat dissipation.

Other design improvements include :

Optimized thermal management across all areas
Generous flushing of the bridged exhaust port
Pentagonal design with internal cooling ribs
One-piece head with integrated scavenging canals
Port timings: 190°–130°

Performance – Stage6 Racing MK2

Compared to the MK1, the MK2 produces 2–3 hp more, achieving 17–19 hp with no additional modifications (when paired with the right components). With further tuning, output can exceed 20 hp—making it one of the most powerful 70cc cylinder kits available.

To fully exploit its potential, we recommend:

Reinforced crankshaft
Minimum 21 mm carburetor
Racing exhaust system

Installation Tips

Thoroughly clean the engine before assembly
Check the condition of all components
Use a new spark plug and new small-end bearing
Adjust carburetor settings if necessary

Squish clearance should be set between 0.75–0.85 mm. A proper run-in period of approx. 300 km with a 1:33 mixture is recommended to ensure durability and longevity.

Important Notes

OEM exhaust systems are not compatible with this cylinder
Temperature sensor (including thread) must not exceed 18 mm in length, or it may contact the cylinder head
No road homologation (check regulations in your country)
