Stage6 Sport PRO MKII Variator – Piaggio / Aprilia / Gilera / Vespa

The Stage6 Sport PRO MKII CVT is a revised and performance-oriented variator designed to improve power transmission and shifting performance on scooters from Piaggio, Aprilia, Gilera and Vespa. Compared to the previous version, this model has been updated to meet modern technical standards and offers increased durability and optimized performance.

The variator now uses the modern 19x15.5 mm roller size (7g included as standard), which improves both performance and longevity while reducing maintenance requirements. The backside of the pulley and the roller tracks are hard-coated for greater durability and consistent operation at high RPM. The running surface is deliberately left uncoated to increase friction for better performance and to avoid chrome spalling, which can lead to premature wear or belt damage.

It is preconfigured for 50cc cylinders combined with a Stage6 Pro Replica exhaust but can also be used with other engine setups. In that case, additional adjustments such as changing the roller weights or installing a different counter-pressure spring may be required. For optimal results, it is recommended to combine the variator with a Stage6 Sport Pro clutch, a new clutch bell and a new V-belt. A tuning set with 19x15.5 mm weights is helpful for precise adjustment.

This variator is set up for newer engines built after 2000. Older models may require adjustment of the weights and use of the original counter-pressure spring to achieve optimal performance.

The kit includes the variator pulley with bushing, a varnish-coated ramp plate, a spacer for behind the variator, six 19x15.5 mm rollers (7g), and a medium counter-pressure spring.
